The Kitsap BlueJackets have announced the broadcast team of Mick Tidrow and Kaitlyn Young for the 2016 season.
Tidrow, who finished his sophomore year at Ball State University, has been involved in broadcasting for the past two years. He has served in multiple positions, including Play-by-Play for select games on ESPN3. Mick has been the voice of Ball State Softball the past two seasons, and has called Ball State Baseball games. In addition Mick co-hosts a weekly baseball radio talk show “The Hot Corner” on 91.3 WCRD, Ball State’s student radio station. From a small town called Petersboro in Cache Valley, Utah, he looks forward to his involvement in the West Coast League for the first time. Mick will be the lead voice of the BlueJackets during the 2016 season in addition to being the media relation’s contact.
Young is an Evansville, Indiana native and just completed her sophomore year at Ball State University as a Digital Sports Production major. She has worked as a production and press box staff member for several professional clubs including the Evansville Otters Frontier League baseball team, the Evansville IceMen ECHL hockey team and Padres Single A affiliate, the Fort Wayne TinCaps. She is also the creator and Executive Producer of Ball State’s all-access baseball show “Believe.” She is very excited to work the Kitsap BlueJackets, and looks to produce entertaining content for the fans of the BlueJackets and the West Coast League.
The broadcast team will cover every game on the season with video and audio available for all home games. During home games, the pregame show will start 15 minutes before each game, featuring interviews with coaches and players. Games on the road will feature audio, allowing listeners and fans from anywhere across the nation to listen in all summer long.
